Executive Search
Our team successfully places talent in executive and senior level positions using our custom designed search process - FORTÊ. Meaning something in which a person excels, FORTÊ has been developed by Quadrant using multiple research sources and our own industry practice to develop a simple, real time talent review process that provides objective information about individuals or groups so that more effective decisions can be made.
FORTÊ focuses on current performance and future potential providing an objective perspective of the strengths and development opportunities of an individual or group. Readiness for key assignments or future roles is considered and the planning process continues with an inventory of possible development actions, including feedback, stretch assignments, and required training. Individuals are encouraged to follow up with development discussions and refine development strategies.
To develop FORTÊ, we used the following process:
- The capabilities within the Quadrant FORTÊ process are developed using research from The Corporate Leadership Council, Hewitt AON, Harvard Business School, Aberdeen Group and our extensive industry knowledge of what works and what doesn’t work. We target critical capabilities and behaviours that are correlated with long-term, sustainable business success
- Having identified these critical capabilities and behaviours, we then use the Levels of Work Model by Elliot Jacques to distinguish performance in each of the behaviours. Jacques developed the notion of requisite organisation and “levels of work” which are dependent on the complexity and time horizon of the work
- Competencies with rich descriptors of what is required to demonstrate success in each behaviour provides us with a resource tool to aid in benchmarking and assessment as well as providing feedback, self-development, and coaching
- Our competencies are further categorised into three distinct types – the head, the heart and the hands – to differentiate and target any development needs.
FORTÊ is presented to you as a one-page Talent Profile with accompanying reference data such as their Development Plan, CV, Referee Report and Psychometric Assessment.
